VCI rust prevention boxes are PE plastic packaging bags containing volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) that are processed according to the size of the packaged metal. They come in various specifications, including flat bags, self-sealing bags, zipper bags, bone chain bags, bone-attached bags, five-sided bags, six-sided bags, and zipper bags. The rust prevention film is convenient to use, transport, and customize, making it popular in the automotive parts, casting, hardware, and electronics industries.
When using volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) materials as a rust prevention method for metal, the guiding principle of designing a rust prevention plan is to provide a good "microenvironment" for the parts to be protected. In this microenvironment, the VCI package contains a sufficient concentration of volatile corrosion inhibitors to protect the metal and improve its rust prevention ability.
The operation process of VCI products is as follows: Confirm the design, clean the workpiece, package it, place it in the VCI rust prevention box, seal it, store it, and transport it.
1. Confirmation: First, confirm that the VCI rust prevention box used is qualified.
2. Design: Calculate the amount of VCI material required based on the usage requirements and design the packaging method. For example, use roll film or sheet film directly, or use flat bags or three-dimensional bags. For large or numerous workpieces, increase the number of VCI rust prevention boxes or add partitions, and conduct tests to confirm the rust prevention effect.
3. Workpiece Cleaning: Clean and dry the workpieces to be packaged according to the specified cleaning procedures.
4. Packaging: For small workpieces using winding film or film, packaging and boxing can be done directly at the end of the production line. If using flat bags or three-dimensional bags, small workpieces can be directly packaged and boxed at the end of the production line. Pack small workpieces in boxes, and arrange the VCI rust prevention boxes neatly in the outer box. After the workpieces come off the cleaning production line, place them neatly in the VCI rust prevention boxes.
5. Placing in the VCI Rust Prevention Box: According to the design requirements, place a sufficient amount of VCI material in the appropriate position inside the packaging. For example, add rust prevention film barriers between parts, and place VCI shells or VCI powder bags.
6. Sealing: After placing the work code, immediately seal the VCI rust prevention box (lid).
7. Storage and Transportation: Try not to open the packaging during storage. If it needs to be opened, please seal it immediately and replenish the VCI material appropriately. During operation, note: Workers should wear gloves and keep the gloves clean. Unused VCI products should be stored in a sealed, dry environment. A sufficient amount of VCI material should be placed.
