A square bottom bag is a bag that looks square from the outside and has a square bottom. Although it is soft packaging, it can still maintain its shape after holding the product, making the entire packaging look three-dimensional and beautiful. The name of the square bottom bag comes from its square bottom. It opens like a cardboard box with different lengths, widths, and heights, but its softness is different from that of a cardboard box, so the square bottom bag needs to be customized according to different standards and sizes of the packaged products.

Square bottom bags are mainly made of high molecular polymers (or synthetic resins). To improve the performance of plastics, various auxiliary materials need to be added to the polymer to meet people's requirements for plastics, such as fillers, plasticizers, lubricants, stabilizers, colorants, etc., to become a plastic with good performance. Generally, square bottom bags are made of synthetic resins, and the bottom is named square. It unfolds like a box, with different lengths, widths, and heights, "tailored" to the different sizes of the products to be packaged.

Square bottom bags generally have five sides: front and back, two sides, and bottom. The unique structure of square bottom bags makes it very convenient to package three-dimensional or square products. This type of bag combines the packaging significance of plastic bags and fully expands new packaging ideas, so it is now widely used in daily life and production.

There are two polymer structures in square bottom plastic bags:

1. Linear structure; high molecular compounds with this structure are called linear high molecular compounds.

2. Three-dimensional structure, also known as three-dimensional high molecular compounds. Some polymers have branches, called branched polymers, which belong to the linear structure. Some polymers have cross-linking between molecules, but the cross-linking is less, called network structure, which belongs to the three-dimensional structure. The two different structures exhibit two opposite properties.
