VCI Rust Preventive Paper Working principle: VCI substances automatically evaporate and vaporize in the air at room temperature, forming gaseous corrosion particles. It automatically adsorbs onto the surface of the metal material and forms a protective layer, disrupting the environment that forms corrosion, blocking various corrosive factors in the environment, cutting off the metal corrosion process, and thus achieving the purpose of protecting the metal material. The particles will achieve the corrosion effect on the metal through different physical and chemical processes of passivation, reduction, and complexation of the cathode and anode.
Components that require rust prevention during transportation and storage should use VCI Rust Preventive Paper (For example, metal parts can be easily packaged, and the entire container and intermediate gaskets should be covered). The distance between the VCI rust preventive paper and the metal depends on the packaging volume and the length of time it takes to form a protective gas layer. Generally, after 15 minutes, a distance of 30 cm between the heights can achieve rust prevention protection. The tighter the outer packaging, the better the rust prevention effect. With it, no oiling is needed, and metal parts can be used at any time without cleaning. The packaging also has rust prevention protection, is simple, safe, and environmentally friendly. When packaging, the metal should be clean and dry.
