VCI is the abbreviation for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors, which are volatile corrosion inhibitors. VCI rust preventive paper is effectively combined with neutral desulfurized kraft paper. At room temperature, the paper allows VCI molecules to volatilize rapidly, adsorbing onto the technical surface to form an invisible molecular protective layer that isolates moisture and oxygen, inhibiting rust. Characteristics of kraft paper: It allows the contained VCI vapor phase corrosion inhibitor molecules to volatilize rapidly, quickly protecting metal parts from rust. From the perspective of corrosion inhibitors, the paper must be a suitable carrier for VCI vapor phase corrosion inhibitors. VCI vapor phase rust preventive paper has existed for two-thirds of a century and was used by the US military. VCI rust preventive paper has proven its stability over a long period and is very reliable and safe.

Cut square vapor phase rust preventive paper samples. Use the four corners and center of the paper as measurement points. Measure the thickness values using a vernier caliper and take the average. Weigh the sample using an electronic balance. The weight divided by the product of the paper sample size and thickness is the density of the vapor phase rust preventive paper.

The general reason for metal rusting is that after water, oxygen, and humidity (electrolyte) form on the metal surface, the flow of the metal's electron energy is naturally generated. The flow is from the high-energy area (anode) of the metal to the electrolyte to the low-energy area (cathode) of the metal, and then back to the high-energy area; vacuum packaging is not needed. Simply place the metal workpiece in VCI rust preventive paper or rust preventive bag. When the workpiece is removed from the VCI rust preventive bag, the protective molecular film on the surface will automatically volatilize, and no cleaning or secondary processing is needed before subsequent processing - painting, electroplating, etc.
