What material is VCI anti-rust plastic film made of?

The base material is LDPE, which is low-density polyethylene. Additives included during the film blowing process include VCI masterbatch, color masterbatch, and other auxiliaries.
The VCI masterbatch is a volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) masterbatch that provides rust prevention. It primarily works by volatilizing and protecting the metal surface.
1. VCI stands for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor, and VCI film is a vapor-phase corrosion inhibitor film. Its composition is simple: different polyethylene resins and VCI corrosion inhibitors are mixed and blown into film to create the finished product. In anti-rust packaging, VCI film boasts the highest utilization and usage rates, with very noticeable effects, particularly in automotive, equipment manufacturing, storage, and transportation, especially sea freight.
2. Although the composition of VCI film is relatively simple and easy to understand, two key factors determine product performance: the composition of VCI and resin, and the mixing and blowing process. If the compounding and processing of these two aspects are not handled well, the resulting film will have poor barrier properties, poor rust prevention effects, and poor transparency.
